I applaud those who have already cast their vote. For those of you who have not, please do so as quickly as possible.
As you should all know by now, the election will be conducted through an SMS voting system. Please send the name of the candidate of your choice, followed by your name to my phone.
Because voter turnout is still quite low (I guess most of you wake up late on Saturdays?), I have decided to extend the closing time for the election by 45 minutes, till 9:45pm, Victorian time (i.e. according to the VJ school bell).
The results can be expected anytime after 9:45pm, and will be broadcast live through the Internet. (See, this elections department so efficient. But then again, counting 25 votes is somewhat less tedious than counting 1.22 million votes.)
Remember, voting is compulsory. Your vote is NOT secret.
By the way, you know why I chose to end at 9:45 and not 10 right? To catch the results of the REAL Election on TV! (Though I doubt the results will be out so early. But you never know, what with the efficiency of our civil servants - They're counting the votes right?) I'm sure all of you will also be tuning in to the results too! :)
